Now offering our experience and methods to the greater equesterian community.
Setting expectations and exploring the basics of a riding career for young horses. We carefully work with your horse to develop thoughtful and willing partnerships. Youngsters are introduced to wearing tack, learning how to move on longe and long lines, and carry themselves with a rider. We often use raised poles, light hacking and sometimes ponying to aid in passively influencing their development.
There is no substitute for steps on the ground, miles climbed, streams crossed, hounds encountered and laps around the warmup arena at shows to build a horse's character. This takes time and generally a trip in the trailer.
We are fortunate to be situated in proximity of miles and miles of trail systems, 5 hunt clubs, lots of local horse shows and cross country and trail obstacle courses.
Whether your horse is under muscled, needs rehab or topline development, we can help with strength exercises, fitness and feeding techniques to keep your horse looking their best.
We also do conditioning for youngsters aimed at competing in-hand Hunter and Dressage classes and in Young Horse Show Series
We will work with you and the nutritionist at FCA to develop a a forage first meal plan to build muscle and add bloom.
